1. General Policy

The sale of From Myth to Art: Anatolian Kilims is governed by the laws of the Swiss Confederation. Please note that under Swiss law, there is no statutory right of withdrawal or return for physical goods purchased online. Consequently, once the order is confirmed and the item is delivered, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with the subject matter.

This policy applies exclusively to the physical book. Digital versions or unauthorized reproductions are not sold and are not covered by this warranty.

2. Non-Refundable Scenarios

Returns or refunds will not be accepted for the following reasons:

Personal Preference: Issues regarding the cover design, size, or physical appearance that do not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Change of Mind: The buyer no longer wishes to keep the book.

Content Preferences: Disagreement with the themes, language, or artistic focus of the book.

Unopened Condition: The book is returned unopened or in perfect condition without a defect.

3. Warranty and Defective Items (Exceptions)

This policy does not limit your statutory rights regarding material defects or non-conformity as defined by the Swiss Code of Obligations (Code des Obligations). If the received product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you are entitled to a replacement or refund under the following conditions:

Covered Defects:

Wrong Item: Receipt of a different book or edition than the one ordered.

Printing Errors: Missing pages, text errors, or severe color distortion.

Binding Defects: Pages falling out, spine damage, or cover detachment occurring prior to or at delivery.

Shipping Damage: Significant physical damage caused during transit (e.g., water damage, crushing).

4. Return Process for Defective Items

If you believe your copy is defective, please follow these steps:

  1. Notification: Contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@mythtoart.com.
  2. Evidence: Provide your order number and clear photographs of the defect or damage.
  3. Assessment: We will review the evidence within 3 business days.
  4. Resolution: If a defect is confirmed, we will either:
    • Send a replacement copy at no cost, or
    • Issue a full refund of the purchase price (excluding original shipping costs, unless the error was ours).

5. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This policy and the sales agreement are governed by the laws of the Swiss Confederation. Any disputes arising from this transaction shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
